I love sharing my favorite tips for more creativity, Studio news, special offers, gallery and show openings, stories about the inspiration for my artworks, and the first look at each New Product Collection.
Buying Art
I am adding artwork to my life and purchasing a sculpture on your web site. What happens next?
- You should receive a confirmation email. Check your spam folder, if you did not receive it.
- If you are in the Lehigh Valley area, I’m happy to deliver the sculpture direct to you. It will be assembled and ready to display. If you are outside the Lehigh Valley area, your sculpture will be carefully packed for shipping. This can take up to a week, depending on the size of the sculpture.
- If the work is shipped, I will let you know once your piece is shipped, along with the tracking number so that you can track it on-line.
- I generally ship smaller work by USPS or FedEx ground and can ship to your home or office.
- For large sculptures, I will work with you to coordinate the delivery.
“I Love the Sculpture” But I Have A Question
I love this sculpture, but I don’t know if it will fit my space.
No problem! Send me an email with the sculpture you love and a photo of your space (along with rough measurements) and I’ll prepare an image of the sculpture in your space for you to preview. This is a complimentary service.
I love this sculpture, but I need some time to think about it or talk to a family member about it.
No problem! Send me an email with the sculpture you love and I’ll place it on reserve for one week. At the end of the week, I’ll follow up with you to see if you would like to add that work of art to your life. Putting a sculpture on reserve means that no one else will be able to buy the sculpture for one week, giving you the time to be sure you want to move forward.
I love this sculpture, but I’m trying to figure out how to make it work with my budget.
No problem! I love making my original works of art available to fit your space and budget. If your budget isn’t as big as the sculpture you love, there are a couple of options:
- You can commission an original work of art to fit your space and budget. The first step is to message me through one of my social media channels, email me, or fill out the contact request form on my Commissions page.
- I offer no interest, installment payments (with no upcharge on the artwork or product price). Email me with the name of the artwork you love and we can work out a flexible payment option that works for your budget.
Commissioning An Assemblage
How do I initiate a request for a commissioned artwork?
I want to make it as simple as possible for you to add your own special work of art. The first step is to message me through one of my social media channels, email me, or fill out the contact request form on my Commissions page. When I receive your request, I’ll check my commissions calendar and give you an estimate for when I can queue it. Generally speaking, there is often longer wait times in the holiday season, so please reach out sooner than later, particularly if this is a special gift, for an event, building, office, or store location.
What is the process for ordering a commission?
After we confirm the starting date, we start with a conversation—by phone, Facetime, or Zoom. We discuss your inspiration, who the piece is for, where it will be hung/installed, what other artwork you like in my collection, and what sizes work for the space, and the pricing, based on size. If you decide to move forward to the next step, after an initial 25% payment, I create small sketches for your review. Once those are complete we meet again to discuss the sketch and confirm the details and size, after which I will send you an agreement that summarizes our discussion. With a 25% second payment and signed agreement, I begin work on your custom sculpture.
What is the process for creating a commissioned work?
Next, I source materials, if I don’t already have them in stock. Perhaps you send me some mementos to include. When I have all the pieces in the studio, I begin work on the sculpture! Before it’s final, I’ll email a photo so you can see the assemblage and give feedback (what you would like to see more or less of). I’ll make necessary changes and send follow up photos for final review. Once you are happy with the result, you send the remaining 50% balance due, before shipping/delivery. (If you are in the Lehigh Valley area, I can deliver the artwork to you.)
How long does a commissioned assemblage take to complete?
This depends on the queue of commissions at the time of the order, how large the commissioned piece is, and how long it takes to source the material the commissioned artwork requires. While it is on a case-by-case basis, you should normally expect anywhere between 4 – 8 weeks to complete once it’s scheduled for small and medium-sized pieces, and 8-16 weeks for works larger than 3’x4’.
What if I don’t like the final product?
In the unusual case that you don’t like the final product, please email me, so I can make this right for you. I value your investment in my artwork and I want you to feel good through the process and with your artwork.
Paying For Art
What form of payment is accepted?
When purchasing directly from my website payment is by PayPal or credit card. Alternatively, you can contact me for details on how to pay using Venmo or Zelle.
Do you offer installment payment plans?
Yes, I do and for some collectors this is an important benefit. My installment payment plans are interest free and the payment amount each month can be flexible to fit your budget or timeline.
How do I request an installment payment plan?
If there is a work of art you love, but would like to pay for over time, message me through one of my social media channels or email me to let me know. We will sort out the number and timeline of payments.
How does the installment payment plan work?
Once you make your first payment, I will put the art On Reserve on my website so that no one else can purchase it. With each payment received (either by PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle), I’ll send an update with the balance. When the payments are complete, I will ship or, if you are in the Lehigh Valley area deliver, the art.
Are installment payments refundable?
No, the installment payments are not refundable. However, if something happens and you cannot continue your payments, let me know and we will work out a plan either for a new payment schedule, a different artwork, or a credit towards a different artwork or a commission.
I love this one particular sculpture, but can’t afford it on my budget. What are my options?
There are two options:
- We can work out an installment payment plan (see above for details), or
- You can commission a work that’s similar but in a different size. (see Commissions for more information).
Shipping Art
How will my artwork be packaged?
Sculptures with sides that are less than 36″ in length will be wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a cardboard box or crates for larger or multiple works, depending on the size of the piece. I recycle shipping packaging as much as possible but am always careful to choose packaging that’s structurally sound and will protect the art.
Is there a fee for packaging?
No. Packing is included as a complimentary service on all sculpture!
How do you ship sculptures?
I usually ship sculptures by USPS, FedEx, UPS, and if you are in the Lehigh Valley area, I often can deliver artworks in person. Larger works are shipped by a freight.
How long will it take for my artwork to be delivered?
Generally, your sculptures will be packaged within 7 working days of payment and then shipped. The time for delivery varies, depending where you are. If I am traveling or the work is on exhibit, there may be a longer delivery time, but I will communicate that by email.
Do you offer expedited shipping?
Yes, I offer ground/postal and a more expedited shipping option for an extra fee.
How much is shipping?
Shipping costs vary depending on product location and artwork sizes. For expedited shipping, please contact me.
How will I know when to expect my artwork?
I will send you an anticipated delivery date and can send the tracking number. For larger sculpture, you may want to make arrangements to have someone at home to sign for and receive the assemblage or make arrangements with the courier to pick up.
What information do you need from me, to ship my artwork?
I will need a complete shipping address, either a residence or a business. Smaller pieces can be shipped to US post box numbers, but larger pieces (over 14”x14”) typically need to ship to a residence or business address.
Return Policy
What is your return policy?
All of my products are made to order. Unfortunately, due to that reason there will be no returns or refunds on product purchases.
If you change your mind about a work of art however, I understand and want to make it right for you. Non-commissioned sculptures can be exchanged for a credit on ZachKleemeyerArt.com for the full amount, minus any shipping costs, so long as certain conditions are met:
- Seven (7) days from receiving the sculpture, you must let me know in writing that you would like to return the artwork.
- The artwork must be returned in its original packaging and in the same condition as when it was shipped. It is important, therefore, to take care when both unpacking and repacking your artwork.
If you are not satisfied with a commissioned assemblage when you see it in person, please contact me. Your satisfaction is very important to me.
What if I decide that I would like to return my artwork, but the 7-day window has passed?
Please contact me. Your satisfaction is very important to me.
