Punctuation and palettes are featured in Ex-cla-ma-tion, but color blending ultimately became my major focus. Another symbol study for the win! The piece was built on a one-inch slab of reclaimed wood. The sides painted black create an automatic drop shadow with any angle. The color palette is built from a black base coat that blends in every color of the rainbow. Ex-cla-mation was painted entirely using a few trusty palette knives.
