Description
Split Circles is a mixed media illustration that uses a spare cabinet door for the canvas. I preserved the off-white color and added black, white, and pencil (graphite) to the palette. The illustrations were made from various tools, including a protractor/compass and a pyrography set for some light wood burning. By using these tools I was stretching towards a goals of creating with varied material and experimenting with more techniques.
Split Circles is a friendly reminder that people will come and go throughout life. Groups or “circles” may drift together or drift apart over time, and that’s ok.
