Description
This assemblage began with creating a piece that could hang as top priority. Being creative and maintaining enough space to continue making art can be challenging for artists working in smaller spaces. The Wallscape hangs out with ease. Made from a variety of discarded wood, some stained and some not, the natural palette was a choice constraint that aimed at making the overall sculpture shape the primary point of intrigue. Layered wood builds out depth with a clean, sharp lined composition with no traditional framing necessary. And, a landing space atop the work suggests functional use, as well as a calm, small surface above the massive glacier below. This work can absolutely be touched.
