Description
Happiness, a mixed-media assemblage primarily featuring found wood, raises up and stretches out from its bright blue frame to greet viewers, while also faintly presenting a smile. Many different materials were used to make Happiness. Mixed-media techniques like pyrography, painting, and collage are featured within the assemblage. The work originated around a desire to create from discarded wood frames, and then caught steam when it was blended into a new series, In Search Of. The series utilized a colored border that was sparked from this frame. Most of the blue painted frame was found that way and included as-is. This artwork is absolutely meant to be touched.
