Deconstructed Three-dimensional Compositions
made from found wood & other materials
This series of eco-friendly sculpture features found wood. Facilitated by deconstruction, the work is made with materials that get to take on a new life, such as chairs, cabinets, tables, and mirror.
Abstract roots extend out from experimental, often mixed-media, sculptural work frequently adorned with other media like paint, metal, and magazine. Adding new grooves to the three-dimensional surfaces is predominantly done through mark-making by pyrography, and as is helpful, with power tools.
Eco-friendly Art
The process of repurposing these materials lends a distinct character to each piece, resulting in one-of-a-kind works of art.
My Materials
This assemblage art practice focuses on both aesthetics and utility by strategically analyzing and deconstructing discarded yet functional objects and materials. Elements such as ledges, mirrors, and hidden compartments are incorporated to enhance the overall experience. This art is meant to be touched, explored, and experienced in a multi-sensory way, allowing the collector to fully appreciate the materials used.
